GZIDE-M relates to a class of medicine known as an antidiabetic. It is a combination of two anti-diabetic drugs, named- Gliclazide and Metformin. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic or lifelong condition that affects the way your body system processes glucose. People with type 2 diabetes either don’t produce enough insulin or if at all the insulin is produced, it is not able to perform its function in the body (like insulin resistance) because of this, the blood glucose level increases and symptoms such as frequent urination, increased thirst and increased hunger start. It may lead to serious complications like skin infection, eyes problems (e.g- retinopathy), nerve damage (e.g-neuropathy), diabetic foot (e.g-foot ulcer), kidney disease (e.g-nephropathy), high blood pressure and even stroke.
