Cardace Meto 5 Tablet is a combination medication that contains Enalapril and Propranolol (ACE inhibitors) (beta-blocker). It treats excessive blood pressure as a whole and reduces the risk of heart failure or stroke in the future. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a chronic disorder in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls gets so great that it causes heart or kidney problems.

Cardace Meto 5 Tablet interacts with organ transplant drugs (temsirolimus, everolimus, sirolimus), blood pressure medications (clonidine, diltiazem, verapamil, sacubitril/valsartan, aliskiren), lithium, antidiabetics (insulin, vildagliptin), pain relievers (indomethacin, acetylsalicylic acid), and (heparin).
Alcohol and foods high in potassium should be avoided while taking Cardace Meto 5 Tablet because they can reduce the efficacy of Cardace Meto 5 Tablet when taken together.
Cardace Meto 5 Tablet should be used with caution if you are on dialysis or any other sort of blood filtration, have kidney problems where the blood supply to your kidney is limited (renal artery stenosis), have diabetes and are on a blood pressure reducing medication.
If you have angioedema, you should stop taking Cardace Meto 5 Tablet. Patients with diabetes, striated muscle disease, thyrotoxicosis/thyroid storm (excess thyroid hormones), jaundice or a marked increase in liver enzymes, and semilunar valve stenosis should use this medication with caution and only under medical supervision.
Before taking Cardace Meto 5 Tablet, patients with impaired liver and kidney function (particularly those over 65 years old) should visit a doctor. While taking Cardace Meto 5 Tablet, it is recommended that kidney function and electrolyte (sodium, potassium, calcium, etc.) levels be monitored on a regular basis.
